Has focused on the development of technologies for Entertainment, Immersive Simulation, Education, and Training at Kerner Optical Research and Development (KORD). KORD is the Research and Development team formed in association with the recent spin off of Kerner Optical from Industrial Light + Magic. Previously, as Chief Science Officer, Nelson was involved in the creation of immersive experiences for Jordan Weisman's and Tim Disney's Virtual World Entertainment Centers featuring Battletech, and later the first Q-Zar Laser tag arenas in the US. Nelson Co-Founded Vuppet, creating unique human input devices for the video game industry and has over twenty-six years of experience in entrepreneurial ventures as a founder, principal or advisor with expertise in the areas of Virtual Reality, Education, Multimedia Entertainment, Displays, Wireless Sensor networks, Artificial Intelligence and Serious Games, resulting in numerous personal contacts in the interactive entertainment industry.
